Why all six films released this week bombed at the box office?

India is also known for its cinema and Bollywood has its wider presence across the globe. in other countries where one film gets release every week or two whereas in India this week, we have six films releasing on box office. let's look at all one by one

 1) Matto ki Saikil

Rating - 2.5 /5

Starring - Anita Chaudhary, Prakash Jha, Aarohi Sharma

Director - M. Gani

Producer - Sudhirbhai Mishra

Writer - Pulkit Philip

Cinematography - Chandan Kowli

Music - Wayne Sharpe

It's a hard-hitting film projecting a poor worker’s plight who lives with his wife and two daughters. It exposes issues with the education system, dowry along with nexus between corrupt politicians and the police department.

Prakash Jha has acted quite well (last seen in ‘Gangajal 2’ (2016) with Priyanka Chopra).

2) Siya

Rating - 2.5/ 5

Starring - Vineet Kumar Singh, Pooja Pandey

Director - Manish Mundra

Siya, again a hard-hitting film based on a rape victim survivor. It's a shock to see worsening of law and order in villages. There is no justice for poor people neither from the politicians nor the police, even after 75 years of independence!

Director Manish Mundra has made a good film in exposing the dirty system prevalent in the society. Rape incidences and injustice in the lower society, is brilliantly portrayed.

Well enacted by Pooja Pandey supported by Vineet Kumar. Film has a shock value but nothing unique. Film rather ends abruptly without a proper conclusion.

3) Middle - Class Love

Rating - 2.5/ 5

Starring- Prit Kamani, Kavya Thapar, Eisha Singh.

Director - Ratna Sinha

Hero Prit has acted well, especially his monolog of 5 minutes in the climax is superb! It might remind you of Kartik Aryan in Pyaar Ka Punchnama.

Both heroines, Eisha and Kavya suit the role. They have done a good job too. Well supported by Manoj Pahwa and other supporting star casts.

Director Ratna Sinha has made a youth-oriented film. Editing could have been sharper because the film pace drags at many places. In spite of a well-made film, it was not promoted. Why is that Mr. Producer?

4) Khalli Balli

Rating - 2/ 5

Director - Manoj Sharma

Lead actors include Rajneesh Duggal, Kainaat Arora, Dharmendra (special appearance), Ganesh Acharya and Madhu.

Despite of a full-fledged cast with talented actor like Vijay Raj, Rajpal Yadav; not one delivers a memorable performance. Director also has done an average job.

Film is supposed to be a horror /comedic one. But both are conspicuously absent.

Story, screenplay and dialogues could have been better. Music is strictly average. However, songs picturization is decent. Film production design is quite good.

Also released -

5) Jahaan Chaar Yaar

6) Saroj Ka Rista

7) Yogi (Netflix)

Box office

All new releases this week will go widely unnoticed due to poor content and zero face value. They will struggle to survive even the first weekend.

All could have benefited from National Cinema Day today (16 September 2022) but due to unknown reason the date has been shifted to 23rd of September. Quick reminder: ticket rates on National Cinema Day would be available at 75 rupees throughout the day.
